Mr. Jeffrey Chang winning an award in the inaugural "HKU Impact: Social Media Competition"

We are delighted to share the wonderful news of our PhD candidate, Mr. Jeffrey Chang (supervised by Prof. Nicky Lam), winning an award in the inaugural "HKU Impact: Social Media Competition" organized by the Knowledge Exchange Office (KEO) of HKU. Mr. Chang’s video, titled "Incorporating Citizen Science and High-Resolution Regional Climate Models in Urban Heat and Pollution Island Diagnostics," has been awarded First-Runner-up. This project integrates urban extreme heat measurement, Forward-Looking Infrared (FLIR) thermal sensing, and numerical modeling to study urban hotspots in Hong Kong's secondary schools, thus fostering University-Institution-Local School education and the advancement of scientific research.
