Professor Zhenci Xu (Associate Professor, Department of Geography): The HKU-100 Scholars Fund is acknowledged in published research associated with his group (Ecological Indicators, May 2024), indicating affiliation with the HKU100 programme. He received the HKU Outstanding Young Researcher Award (OYRA) 2023–2024 for his development of the Blue Carbon Development Index (BCDI), published in Nature Communications (HKU Geography announcement, December 2024).
