HKU GEOGRAPHY: Monthly Research Talks

Remote sensing of coastal environments

Date: 20 SEP 2024 (Friday)

Time: 15:00-15:15 (HKT)

(No registration required)

Abstract:

Amplified human activities and climate change lead to issues like urbanization, global warming, and sea-level rise, threatening coastal sustainability. Our research concentrates on these critical environmental challenges, including coastal urbanization, mangrove conservation, and sea level rise. Utilizing multimodal remote sensing technologies, we aim to understand the transformation of coastal environments and provide a solid scientific foundation for their sustainable development.
