On 11 February, the Faculty of Social Sciences was pleased to welcome Mrs. Jennifer Veigel, Representative, and Ms. Celistina Pang, Market Officer (Education), from the Austrian Trade Commission for an engaging departmental lab visit. Coordinated by the Admissions Outreach Team, the visit included a tour of the C.P. Lo Lab of GIS and the Soil and Biogeography Lab on the 10/F. Professors Nicky Lam and Professor Lishan Ran introduced key research facilities and ongoing projects, and demonstrated advanced equipment used in geographic and environmental research at HKU Geography. The visit provided a valuable opportunity to exchange ideas on research and education, showcase the department’s strengths in geospatial and environmental studies, and explore possibilities for future collaboration.
