2021-22: GEOG2153 - Korean Cultural Center Hong Kong

Our students were visiting the Korean Cultural Center in Hong Kong (in short, KCC) on 12 October 2021 to explore the cultural development of South Korea. The KCC is under the Consulate General of the Republic of Korea in Hong Kong tries to share Korean culture with Hong Kong citizens through a variety of cultural activities. So it’s the perfect place to for students to explore the culture that relevant to their studies.


This year, led by Dr. Peter Koh, students participated in K-craft program (to make a bracelet with traditional Korean knotting techniques) and K-food cooking program (to cook dumpling soup and Dalgona candy) at the KCC. Dr. Koh highlighted the relationship between South Korea and East Asia, and its mutual impacts in the cultural developments. Students also reflected on the cultural exchange between Hong Kong and South Korea.
