Scholarships and Prize

 

The China Development Studies Scholarship

The China Development Studies Scholarship is open to application for all non-local full-time students as an encouragement to support their MAChDS study, and is awarded to a maximum of two students based on their performance in the first semester of the MAChDS study and proof of financial needs. The value of the Scholarship is HK$20,000.00 per awardee (deducted directly from the second instalment of the composition fee).

 

The Royal Geographical Society – Hong Kong Scholarship

The Royal Geographical Society – Hong Kong Scholarship is awarded to a maximum of two students who are final year undergraduate Geography majors pursuing Honours Dissertation and/or students of the MA in China Development Studies programme taking the course “GEOG7122 Dissertation in China Development Studies”. The dissertation topic needs to be related to Grater China (including Hong Kong). The value of the Scholarship per awardee is subject to the approval of the relevant selection committee.

 

Van Shung Chong Prize in China Development Studies

The Van Shung Chong Prize in China Development Studies is awarded to a maximum of two students based on their academic performance of the whole MAChDS study. The value of the Prize is HK$5,000.00 per awardee.
